My Teaching Experience
I have 28 years of experience as a bilingual teacher. I have taught Dual Language from 3rd through 6th grade. Currently, I am a 6th grade Dual Language Teacher teaching English Language Development and Writing while integrating Science and Social Studies into my instruction. Throughout my career, I have also provided professional development for educators at the state, regional, district, and campus level on a variety of educational topics.
Flight Experiment Experience
My students and I have participated in multiple flight experiment opportunities through Teachers in Space.
In July 2023, Student-created CubeSat flew aboard the Egrett tow plane and continued to Argentina for integration aboard the Perlan stratospheric glider.
Summer 2023: Student-created CubeSat was flown on a drone at the Mesilla Valley Model Aircraft Club Field.
May 2025: I flew a student-created CubeSat while on the Zero-G research flight, completing 15 parabolas at approximately 24,000-34,000 feet.
June 2025: I flew a CubeSat I created on a glider flight with the White Sands Soaring Association reaching approximately 8,000-10,000 feet.
May 2026: A student created CubeSat flew on a high-altitude balloon mission launched from Oriskany Falls, New York.

I have flown frequently through personal and work travel. In May 2025, I flew on a Zero-G research flight, completing 15 parabolas. In June 2025, I flew in a glider with the White Sands Soaring Association.
